Abel Womack’s first NECANN show a few weeks ago was definitely a success. There was a
great turnout and a lot of energy throughout the weekend. Many of the folks at the event were in the very early fact-finding stages of opening a commercial cultivation facility. The current license options in the state of Vermont are 1,000 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000 square feet of canopy. These numbers are much smaller than states like MA, which offers license tiers up to 100,000 square feet of canopy. So, the potential opportunities are on a much smaller scale.
A Growing Cannabis Community
I was able to meet a few other exhibitors at NECANN that could offer some real value to some of Abel Womack’s customers. The
first is a company called NSS Enterprises, Inc. NSS has designed an electrostatic disinfectant sprayer ideal for large area spraying, i.e., cannabis facility grow rooms. The cordless sprayer has a runtime of up to 10 hours, can cover over 22,000 square feet per hour and the tank spray time is 2.5 hours. The sprayer also comes with an optional 50-foot-long hose extension which is very important for multi-level grow rooms. Learn more about the Electro-Mist 4B here.
The showstopper for me was visiting the Cannatrol booth. They
come from the meat and cheese industry and their drying/curing technology seamlessly transitions into the cannabis industry. They have the only systems (2 patents) that utilize the power of vapor pressure to gently dry, cure and hold your harvest at the perfect water activity level.
Promising Partnerships
We are currently working on two projects with Cannatrol that we didn’t realize until our call earlier this week. We will be scheduling a follow-up call next week and hope to add their technology into our cannabis catalog. My hope is they can become a strong, strategic partner for Abel Womack moving forward.
I’ve had numerous calls with the 2Bridges Cannabis Design over the past few months, but the NECANN event was the first time I was able to meet their entire team. We went out to dinner one night and are already collaborating on multiple projects. These are some of the best and brightest folks I have met in the industry. I’m excited to see where our partnership leads. Here is a PDF summarizing 2Bridge consulting capabilities.
A Budding Future
Overall, exhibiting at NECANN was a very positive experience connecting with prospects and major manufacturers like Montel. As the cannabis industry continues to flourish, I hope we are able to exhibit at more shows in the future.
Until then, feel free to contact us with any questions or comments. We offer a full range of custom cannabis growing solutions for operations of all sizes.
