HighJump (Booth 2415), a provider of supply chain execution (SCE) software including warehouse management system (WMS) solutions, highlighted new mobile apps for its enterprise suite of products, HighJump Supply Chain Advantage. Supply Chain Advantage now leverages the HighJump One Platform, a browser- and device-agnostic platform that delivers common user experience and tools across HighJump’s supply chain software ecosystem, including HighJump’s enterprise WMS and in-store fulfillment execution suite. HighJump One leverages the responsive capabilities of HTML5 to deliver an intuitive, mobile-friendly user experience that helps managers access functionality on the go, and helps the productivity of associates and the learning curve for new associates, said Chad Collins, HighJump chief operating officer, at a booth visit. “The way that users want to interact with supply chain apps is changing,” Collins said. “They want to be able to do their work on phones and tablets, and have an experience similar to what they have with the best consumer mobile apps.” The platform, which uses HTML5 Web technology, adapts its display template to accommodate the physical nuances of tablets, smart phones, desktops, laptops or any other environment. This can be thought of “responsive design,” said Collins, in which the apps instantly adapt to different mobile devices. Additionally, he said, for the app for associates doing work like scans on a warehouse floor, the user interface is streamlined, with one simple screen for each data entry.
