Safety on the Move: The Industry Standard Since 1991.
Used by hundreds of companies and thousands of lift truck operators, the Raymond-certified Safety on the Move operator training program is a comprehensive lift truck safety training program that uses interactive discussions and demonstrations of safety principles, video-based examples and practical hands-on sessions. Trainees are able to both see and experience for themselves the important concepts of lift truck operation that are essential for a safe, efficient warehouse.
Safety on the Move is an innovative combination of classroom and hands-on training, designed to ensure that operators are able to put into practice what they’ve learned in the classroom. For hands-on training, veteran instructors demonstrate the optimal operating practice for the equipment and assist operators to learn each practice until they have satisfactorily demonstrated competency. There is a Safety on the Move training class for each and every Raymond® Lift Truck model. The training program is made up of eight user-friendly, informative and interactive program modules including:

- Module 2: Operator’s daily checklist
- Module 3: Travel procedures
- Module 4: Safe load handling
- Module 5: Ramps and loading docks
- Module 6: Working with batteries
- Module 7: Operating your Raymond Lift Truck

Each Safety on the Move training class is developed by an instructional designer who works closely with subject matter experts, such as engineers, field service and dealer technicians. Classes are developed using a rigorous methodology that analyzes the target population, determines what should be taught, the delivery method, and then tests the training on other trainers. Emphasis for all classes is always performance-based, which ensures students are able to demonstrate what they’ve learned.
