FieldSense
iW.FieldSense is a robust proximity notification system. It’s designed to alert forklift operators and pedestrians when they come within a predefined distance of properly equipped trucks and pedestrians. The system can also alert vehicle operators to the facility’s proximity to structural elements. In some cases, it can help avoid collisions and reduce product damage by reinforcing training to help increase proximity awareness.
The magnetic field generation (MFG) technology emits low-frequency pulses that create an adjustable field around each piece of mobile equipment. The MFG pulses can pass through most obstructions, allowing the technology to see through walls and around corners. When the system detects another properly equipped vehicle or person within its range, it alerts both parties with an audible and visual notification.
Proximity Notification System Alerts
Audible and visual alerts increase employees’ environmental awareness and help reinforce training and best practices in today’s busy warehouses. For the system to work, pedestrians, operators, and vehicles need to be equipped with specific iW.FieldSense components. These include a pedestrian notification device, a truck-mounted cab silencer and a magnetic field generator. Optional building-installed equipment for enhanced functionality is available.
