Speakers:
Melinda S. Laake is Manager of Enterprise Solutions for The Raymond Corporation. In this role, Laake is responsible for focusing on the strategy and sales for the Raymond labor management solution helping identify opportunities for fleet and warehouse optimization.
Laake has extensive experience in Industrial Engineering, supply chain strategy, and labor management. Prior to joining Raymond, she was Director of a dedicated labor management team for the second largest 3PL in North America, and was responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that ensured successful labor management implementations of multiple solutions. During her consulting career, Laake was a Project Manager and executed a total of 88 labor management implementations. Her previous experience includes a leadership role as founder of her own industrial engineering and strategic consulting company, as well as multiple roles where she was responsible for assessment of operations, cost-reduction and operational improvements.
Laake served on the board of directors for the Methods Time Measurement (MTM) Association, and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Alan Marder is director of technology solutions for The Raymond Corporation. In this role, Marder is responsible for researching, developing, implementing and marketing emerging technologies that will benefit the material handling industry and collaborating with Raymond dealers and engineers to foster new technological developments.
Marder has extensive senior leadership experience in wireless technology and business development. Prior to joining Raymond in 2008, he was director of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) sales for a wireless asset management company. His previous experience includes leadership roles in technology companies that offered remote monitoring products for industrial vehicles and other devices. His role supports Raymond’s commitment to lead the material handling industry in products and services that provide real-time information and reporting capabilities for lift trucks.
