In 2015, MHEDA-TV Launched a video series designed specifically for Engineered Systems and Storage and Handling Distributor members. The four-part series, a follow up to the successful Forklift Thought Leader series, was designed to educate end-user prospects and generate leads for MHEDA members, who could purchase the videos and house them on their company website. Content was developed by a team of MHEDA members who were focused on educating prospects and customers, while also positioning the company who purchased the videos as a trusted resource. One of the videos in the series is titled "Enhancing Safety in the Warehouse" and helps educate the viewer on the potentially dangerous situations that can arise in their warehouse. The warehouse is truly the lifeblood of any organization. It’s where companies receive shipments, store products and ship orders. It is home to the most precious things in your organization: your product and your people. So it’s absolutely vital that the warehouse be as safe as possible to ensure that those precious commodities remain safe. While many business-owners pay lip service to the importance of warehouse safety, we’ve all seen far too many customers with potentially unsafe warehouses and distribution centers. And the unfortunate reality is that the first time that many business-owners consider that their warehouse safety might be lacking is after an accident. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 12 warehouse fatalities in the United States in 2012 and 5.5 reportable injuries per 100 full-time workers. There may be some truly "freak" or "unavoidable" accidents among those numbers, but the vast majority of those statistics were preventable.
