Abel Womack worked with a prominent defense contractor to increase storage space and improve employee safety in an electronic testing equipment warehouse.
Abel Womack developed a layout that created an additional 4,746 feet of cubic space in the warehouse. This represented a 47% increase in storage space without any need to expand the existing warehouse. An electric mobile carriage system with 4 mobile rack carriages and 2 units of static rack provided the space required.
Other advantages to the mobile rack system included increased security for the testing equipment as well as ergonomic changes that improved employee safety.
