Dematic, a global supplier of logistics systems for factory, warehouse and distribution centers, recently hosted George W. Bush, 43rd President of the United States and Founder of the George W. Bush Foundation, and a variety of industry speakers at the 29th Annual Material Handling and Logistics Conference. The more than 550 attendees at the conference, held September 7-10 in Park City, Utah, heard the 43rd President of the United States address a number of topics, including the challenges facing the nation in the 21st century, the power of freedom, the role of faith and reflections on eight years in the Oval Office. The conference, themed Hyperformance — increasing your speed and precision to meet tomorrow’s demands — drew supply chain leaders, experts and technology professionals from around the globe. “The 2014 conference advanced the conversation on how to increase speed without sacrificing supply chain performance. Dematic is committed to delivering superior, technically advanced solutions to fulfill the changing needs of the market, our customers and our consumers,” said John Baysore, President and CEO, Dematic North America. The conference included 50 educational sessions organized into six tracks, addressing supply chain trends, strategies and thought leadership. In addition, a concert by Cheap Trick highlighted the social activities during the conference.
