JDA Software Group, Inc. today announced that it has once again been positioned as a Leader in the Gartner “Magic Quadrant for Supply Chain Planning System of Record (SCP SOR), 2016” and the Gartner “Magic Quadrant for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), 2016.” With the release of these two new reports, JDA is the only vendor recognized as a Leader in four Gartner supply chain technology Magic Quadrants, inclusive of the April 2015 “Magic Quadrant for Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Systems of Differentiation (SOD),” the March 2015 “Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems (TMS),” as well as a Leader in the August 2015 “Magic Quadrant for Merchandise Assortment Management Applications (MAMA).” The Gartner SCP SOR Magic Quadrant focuses on analyzing the market for SCP SORs that support the "integrate" maturity stage (stage three out of five stages) of demand and supply planning processes today and in the future. Gartner finds many companies are investing in this area to provide a strong foundational planning layer on which to subsequently build their more differentiating and innovating capabilities. The overall WMS market breaks down into five types of vendors, three of which are covered in the Gartner WMS Magic Quadrant: application megasuite vendors, supply chain management (SCM) vendors and specialist WMS vendors. Innovation is one of the criteria used to evaluate vendors’ Completeness of Vision in the Gartner WMS Magic Quadrant. Gartner analyst Dwight Klappich wrote,“Innovation is a critical differentiator, and it is important for vendors to demonstrate the ability to support innovation by staying close to the most creative solutions or complicated problems in the market to drive pioneering functionality.” JDA Labs is a dedicated research and development group within JDA committed to delivering patentable innovations, best practices and new products to the market.
